A tour guide is a person who provides assistance, information, culture, historical, and contemporary heritage interpretation to people on organized tours such as individual clients, educational establishments, at religious and historical sites, museum and at venues or other significant interest.
Transfer in is a process of what a tourist guide do when he picks up a guest or group at the airport, harbor or train station and then he takes him or them to the hotel where they stay. A tourist guide should know how to greet and welcome the tourist when they meet up. Then a guide gives information about hotel, tour program and city until they arrive at the hotel.
Greeting, Welcoming and Introducing Oneself
When meeting members of a tour on arrival, a guide performs himself following activities such as greeting welcoming and introducing himself.

Good Morning, Ladies and Gentlement. Welcome to Jakarta. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is David from Mentari tours and travel. I will be your tour guide in this tour. I would like to introduce you too, our driver today is Mr. Mamat. He will take us getting around the City Tour. I’ll tell you all about the things you will see in Jakarta. We are in the west of Jakarta. From here we are going directly to your hotel, located in the heart of Jakarta. It will take about forty-fice minutes to get there, depending on the traffic. It is 4 stars hotel located in the main street of the city center. It has 2 restaurants Indonesian and Chinese restaurants with live entertainment. So you can have your meals there.
Jakarta is not only the capital city but also the center business. So it becomes biggest city in Indonesia. The population is about ten million. For centuries it has been the capital of the Dutch East Indies. It has many colonial edifices like the old town and Taman mini that we are going to visit tomorrow.
Today you are free. Tomorrow will have a full day tour. We will visit the old city of Batavia and Taman Mini. Then the day after tomorrow you will leave Jakarta for Yogyakarta.
